About Us

Gospel. Community. Mission.

At First Baptist Church of Ada, our mission is simple: to live out the Gospel, build a loving community, and serve on mission.

Who We Are

Who We Are

First Baptist Church of Ada is a family of believers passionate about following Jesus Christ. We value clarity in the Gospel, care in our community, and purpose in our mission. No matter your background, age, or where you are in your faith journey, you are welcome here.

We are guided by Scripture, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and committed to loving God and loving people.

Our Core Values

Gospel

We believe the good news of Jesus Christ is life-changing. Everything we do flows from this truth, and we are committed to proclaiming it in word and action.

Community

Church is more than attending a service—it’s belonging to a family. We strive to cultivate relationships, support one another, and grow together in faith.

Mission

We are sent people. Locally and globally, we serve, share hope, and make disciples, living out our faith in practical ways that make a difference.

We exist to glorify God by humbly relying upon His Word, loving people, caring for our community, reaching the nations, and making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Core Beliefs

We believe in one true and living God who is the Creator of the universe. He exists eternally in three Persons – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God created the world out of nothing. He sustains, preserves, and governs all things for His good purposes and to accomplish His desired ends.

The Bible is God’s written revelation of Himself to mankind. It is divinely given through human authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is inerrant, infallible, totally sufficient, and completely authoritative for all matters of life and faith.

Human Beings are created in God’s image and likeness. All humanity has intrinsic value and is worthy of love, dignity, and respect.

We believe because of the Fall, sin has fractured all things. All people have disobeyed God willfully through sin and have inherited both physical and spiritual death and desperately need redemption. All people are born with a sin nature and only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ can they receive salvation.

Salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, the only mediator between God and man. No other person, belief, or religion can reconcile God and man. He alone can provide forgiveness for sin and give eternal life.

Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the Cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for mankind, was raised from the dead after three days, ascended into heaven, and will one day return.

The Holy Spirit immediately places all people who put their faith in Jesus Christ into one united spiritual body, the Church, of which Christ is the head.

God will bring the world to its appropriate end in His own time and in His own way. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth. At that time, Christ will judge both the saved and unsaved. Those who have trusted Christ will receive a glorified body and dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord. Those who have not trusted in Christ will spend eternity in hell, the place of everlasting punishment.
